I have been doing Pilates with Lou for almost three years now. Always well prepared, her combination of reformer and mat Pilates classes brought new challenges every time which ensured that I grew stronger week by week. After about a year I fell pregnant and Lou adapted my exercises not only to accommodate my ever-growing bump but also to ensure I was in the best possible shape to meet the demands of childbirth and life with a new-born.
Lou is conscientious of her client’s individual needs, hugely knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Her sessions have been central to building my strength and supporting my own wellbeing throughout my pre, during and post pregnancy periods - and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
I joined LB Pilates in June 2018 after suffering from a lower back pain over several months. As a beginner to pilates I decided to take the 1:1 sessions to make sure I learnt to do the exercises correctly having Louise’s full attention, in addition to having each session adapted to me and my needs.
In my case it only took a few sessions before my backpain was gone, and over the next weeks and months I noticed how my flexibility improved, my body felt stronger and I had a better posture.
I loved how each session was never the same, ranging from mat pilates, reformer pilates, barre and even some boxing!
Lou is such a kind and patient, yet very professional instructor, making each session fun in addition to challenging.

Louise is not only very knowledgeable about Pilates; she is also highly intuitive about teaching for your individual body. On top of this she is a lovely person and our 1-to-1 sessions are always fun!
Louise is the most patient, kind and knowledgeable Pilates teacher I have ever had. She takes time to listen to your aims and goals, ensuring that she tailors every session to your individual needs.

Louise has taught my husband and I in a mat based duo class for several months, not long after we had our first child. I also tried some reformer classes for the first time with Louise. After two serious knee injuries I was forced to stop playing hockey and having always wanted to try Pilates this seemed like a good prompt. It is amazing to see how the core strength utilised and developed in Pilates has helped in returning to impact sports and conditioning the muscles to encourage recovery of my knee. The combination of core strength and breathing techniques used in Pilates has also significantly increased my endurance in cardio workouts.
